As of this summer, Finnair and Lufthansa Business Class passengers will get the opportunity to enjoy Carpineto wines aboard flight.
After receiving the Cellars in the Sky Awards for in flight red wines, Finnair has integrated Carpineto into their menu, choosing the intense bouquet of ripe red fruit and black currant and spicy notes of undergrowth of the prestigious Vino Nobile Riserva 2013. This wine was chosen as top 100 wines by Wine Spectator for the third time in four years. It is a dry red wine which is ruby red in color, emitting an ethereal scent, and perfect to accompany meat-based soups, cabbage and peas and second courses of beef, game and seasoned cheese.
Lufthansa Business Class passengers will instead be able to opt for Carpineto's Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, carefully selected by Master of Wine Markus Del Monego after a blind tasting. What struck Del Monego most were the clean and intense aromas, complex sensations of spices, licorice, vanilla and morello cherries which create the rich and persistent taste as well as remarkable structure and elegance. This is an ideal to accompany roasts and game.
Both the Vino Nobile Riserva 2013 and the Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 will be available respectively from June and September in the menus of Finnair and Lufthansa.
