Dogajolo banco del vino, first Carpineto wine bar just opened

After the success of VinItaly from both the general public and critics alike, Carpineto inaugurated its DOGAJOLO Banco del Vino, a wine bar which serves Carpineto wines both by the glass and by the bottle. “We chose Marina di Scarlino because we knew the square well and the people who regularly frequent it. We wanted an exclusive location to vary from the typical seafront venues,” says Alessio Santini who in collaboration with Glada Castelli, manages DOGAJOLO Banco del Vino.

 

As the first Carpineto wine bar, the concept is to present “a simple yet tasty offering which ranges from a selection of cold cuts, cheeses, beef tartare, seafood salad with freshly cut vegetables, wild salmon served with brioche and many other delights”. This seasonal menu is ideal with Carpineto wines: “Our customers love to pair seafood and burrata salad and anchovies with our Dogajolo Bianco or Farnito Chardonnay. Our local cold cuts and charcuterie boards pair well with our Spumante Brut or Rosé. Our beef tartare pairs well with our Cabernet Sauvignon or Nobile Riserva. Among the most ordered wines are the red and white Dogajolo, our sparkling wines and Cabernet Sauvignon.” The food and wine served brings all types of customers together – “The new generations have the curiosity and interest to understand what they are drinking and to experience new sensations by letting themselves be guided by our suggestions. I would never have said it but the younger customers are giving us the greatest satisfaction”.

This local evolution stems from the desire to create an informal, yet elegant atmosphere right at the port of Maremma, a popular tourist spot. This wine bar makes the brand even more memorable to wine drinkers, allowing them to experience the product beyond a simple purchase – “The uniqueness of the place comes from the fact that we’ve put everything we have into it. We wanted a simple and elegant, but above all a welcoming place which references the traditional concept of wine bar and tavern that we find in the many cities and towns of our beloved Tuscany, with a new twist of urban”. This enological experience adds to the aperitif dimension of DOGAJOLO Banco del Vino, the first wine bar dedicated to Carpineto wines.
