The US magazine Wine Spectator has named Carpineto’s Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva among the best one hundred wines of the year, placing it among the great protagonists of OperaWine 2019. This yearly international event offers world wine experts the chance to discover, taste and praise the excellence of Italian wine.

Among its articles, product descriptions, tips and insights, Wine Spectator is a magazine that boasts an audience of over three million readers with a world of authority in the wine sector that promotes diversity and high-quality Italian wine. “In a nation where there are over twenty thousand producers, being chosen by Wine Spectator among the top 100 was a great honor”.

Organized by Veronafiere, Vinitaly and Wine Spectator, the 2019 edition of OperaWine welcomed journalists, sommeliers and winemaking professionals on April 6, took place in the beautiful Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona. This international event promotes tradition, culture and innovation and has redefined wines showcased at OperaWine 2019 and its “Made in Italy” ambassadors. This event promotes the export of Italian wine in the foreign market – “It is the most important Italian wine tasting in the world. We met with buyers, the media and interested public. It was an opportunity to meet the most important people in the world of Italian wine and taste their excellence”.

As the prologue to Vinitaly, the international wine and spirits fair held in Verona from April 7 to April 10, OperaWine is a world fair where wine experts get to experiment with great classics and new excellences, exploring the richness and complexity of Italian wine. Among the hundred wines selected from 2600 Italian wines, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva stood out with its ruby red color, elegant fragrance and noble flavor, and was selected for the third time in four years by Wine Spectator in its prestigious top 100 – “We are the only company that produces it only in Reserve, which makes us uniquely focused on this exclusive product. It is the only wine in the denomination to have been in the top 100 for three of the last four years with the years with our 2010, 2011 and 2013″. An extraordinary result that, once again, has confirmed that Carpineto deserves its place among the protagonists of OperaWine, an event dedicated to wine as well as national and international producers in the wine sector.
