Produced from organically grown grapes

Produced according to the European Community laws and under the tutelage of the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Associazione Suolo e Salute. The grapes come from vineyards under long-term lease in the upper Valdarno region where we practice organic agriculture. No synthetic chemicals are used against parasites, or herbicides against noxious weeds. Only natural organic fertilizers are added to the soil.

Grapes: Produced from organically grown Sangiovese and other red grapes, as prescribed by E.U. laws  and under the tutelage of the Association “SUOLO e SALUTE”.
Vinification: maceration of the skins in the must of medium duration with a natural (wild yeast) fermentation at controlled low temperature without additions of either yeasts or enzymes.
Aging: the wine is bottled in the spring following harvest.
Color: ruby red.

Bouquet: intense fruitiness the first year becoming more elegant with time.
Flavor: well rounded and medium bodied.
Alcohol: 12-13% by vol.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C, 61-65°F
Gastronomy: in the Tuscan tradition, this wine is enjoyed as an everyday wine, both young and aged, at room temperature as well as slightly chilled, and with any type of dish.
