These are “terroir” wines with flavors true to their appellation, which strike a balance between tradition and innovation. The reds are made from selections of Sangiovese grown on premium, dry-farmed hillsides with the goal of producing balanced, varietally honest wines designed for long aging. In order to showcase the delicate, elegant and complex nature of Sangiovese, only traditional grape varieties are used. Carpineto has chosen to age the riserva wines much longer than the minimum time required by appellation rules so that they are very approachable upon release.
